PictureMeFree has quickly become the most booked band in the Clemson area. With influences ranging from Red Hot Chili Peppers to The Beatles, this up-and-coming group is striving to “create a more peaceful, loving, and positive world” through their music, according to their MySpace profile. The philosophy of PictureMeFree is a fusion of John Lennon’s proactive peace movement captured in “Imagine” and Bob Marley’s “One Love” ideal, according to the band’s official Web site. Front-man Josh Risley gives an emotional delivery of existential topics like human connections in “All Fall Down,” while the rest of the outfit lays down hauntingly subdued licks and drum lines. The group recently cut a deal for a five-song EP with Athens-based Pigpen Studios. The EP – “Live at The Money” – should be polished up around the end of February, according to the band’s management. PictureMeFree is no stranger to the ins-and-outs of recording – they’ve sold over 1,000 of their home recordings independently – but “Live at The Money” will ramp up sound quality and distribution. Curious listeners can check www.picturemefree.com for upcoming shows in Clemson.

Thanks for the great article. I just wanted to clear up that the cd is completely seperate from our live cd recorded at the Money, "Live at the Money." The cd we are working on in Athens will have Prince of Cups, Wake Up Alive, and All Fall Down on it along with two new songs. The cd should be done around the beginning of March. Thanks for the support, to stay updated on shows, merch, and the status of the cd visit us on picturemefree.com
