Who doesn’t love free stuff? Bootleg Essential Culture will have a booth at this weekend’s Solid Orange Live music festival in Clemson. Bootleg marketing interns will be giving away free koozies and t-shirts on Friday evening. Solid Orange Live will feature local and national artists on the same stage. Clemson Battle of the Band winners Jyve Theory will kick off the music festival at 3 p.m. on Friday. Clemson Idol finalists will follow. Athens, Ga. rock band The Whigs will perform at 5 p.m. on Friday, followed by alternative reggae group The Movement from Columbia. Reggae legend The Wailers start at 7:30 p.m. just before ’70s and ’80s pop sensation Eddie Money. Hip-hop headliner Wyclef Jean will finish off the first day of the fest; his set will begin at 11 p.m. Saturday’s line-up includes Swift Robinson (another Clemson Battle of the Bands winner), Joe McCready, Jason Reeves, PictureMeFree, Colbie Caillat, Casey Joe and Rodney Atkins. The festival will also feature carnival rides and activities. Numerous Clemson sporting events are scheduled for this weekend.
