We’re giving away a copy of “Into the Wild” on DVD. Jon Robertson previews the release in the March issue of Bootleg. To win the DVD, be the first to conquer this simple scavenger hunt.To get started, you’ll need: transportation, Internet, a digital camera/camera phone and pen and paper for answers.
1) Visit www.bootlegontheweb.com, create an account, and print off or write down your name, login name, and email. Bring this paper along with you on your scavenger journey.
2) Before you set out, find out where you can contact the people behind Bootleg face-to-face. The address can be found on page two. Google or Mapquest directions to this location.
3) Have you been to the newest grocery store in Clemson? Visit this Highway 93 retailer and count the number of paws painted in the parking lot.
4) Visit the bookstore where Bootleg distributes. Get your photo taken next to the Bootleg stand there.
5) Next, browse through the March issue of Bootleg. Look for an ad sponsored by the venue where the Tigers practice free throws. Go there and find out what the statue at the East end reads.
6) As you stand in Clemson, you realize Seneca is not too far away. Visit the downtown office of Bootleg’s parent company, The Daily Journal, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday Ask for the writer who penned the March feature on Ron White. If you’re the first one to complete this scavenger hunt, you win the “Into the Wild” DVD.
When we have a winner, we’ll announce it immediately on the Bootleg Web site in the blogs section. So check the blogs section to see if there’s a winner announcement before heading out. We’re giving away only one DVD, so when that’s gone, that’s it — until the next month. Check print and online versions of Bootleg each month for future giveaways.
