The naked truth

New York Magazine’s circulation is about to skyrocket with their Feb. 25, edition. In the latest issue, Lindsay Lohan artfully poses “nude” as she and photographer Bert Stern recreate Marilyn Monroe’s famous final photo shoot. It’s OK. With this bold and stunning step, the world of artful nudity and, well, just straight nudity could be intertwined forevermore.
To be fair, most of the photos show Lindsay posing in or around see-through clothing, but these are essentially the kind of pictures that guys have been perusing the Internet for years trying to hunt down. Now, Miss Lohan is offering herself in print. This is new and exciting territory for men. We now have a formula for getting celebrities out of their skivvies and onto our magazine stands. Step 1: Take artful almost-nude photos of a well-respected celebrity. Step 2: Wait 35 years. Step 3: Find an almost-celebrity who held the well-respected celebrity in high regard. Step 4: Take nude photos of said celebrity in the same artful style as her idol. It’s almost too easy. Can we just go ahead and start considering “Deep Throat” art?
