Overextended, yet able

The The members of Resco have every reason to make it last on their priority list.

Resco, short for Residual Collaboration, is so named because it’s comprised of members from other local bands. Plus, three out of the five of them are still in college.

With so many commitments, it’s a wonder the quintet ever finds time to play. Instead of being a setback, the full plate keeps the music flowing for lead singer and guitarist Paul Loiodice.

“It can be overwhelming at times. But when you’re doing all that studying it just gets your creative juices flowing,” said Loiodice. “When I get the opportunity to pick my guitar I feel like my brain is already warmed up.”

Loiodice and the other members, Brad Crowe, Brett Tingley, John Bowling, and Marty Higman, have created a refreshing hybrid. In one song, their sound can evolve from techno, to Latin, to progressive rock, to reggae with a jam band undercurrent.
