Paying for two can get pretty pricey. Try Nami Asian Bistro in Lake Hartwell’s Portman Marina for an upscale dinner without completely breaking the bank. Nami has all the classic rolls plus new favorites. The twin and samurai rolls are two that combine spicy tuna and crispy fried panko (Japanese bread crumbs) for a real treat. Nami also stands out by offering entrees and small dishes for guests who choose not to eat sushi. Vegetable tempura, a standard Japanese small dish, is done delightfully here. Large slices of colorful vegetables ranging from eggplant to onion to sweet potato are tempura battered, fried and come to your table in a boat serving dish. This is a great place to order a few rolls, a couple small dishes and then share everything.
