History
A 3 piece rock band from Clemson, SC, By?r Lady is Dwight
Hutchenson (guitar, vocals), Ben Shealy (bass), and Jason Walter
(drums). The band members are all between the ages of 23 and 25 and are
graduates of Clemson University.
Dwight and Jason met in early 2001 while circling different parts
of the small but ever enthusiastic artistic scene at Clemson
University. They hooked up in 2003 to form a 5 piece group called The
Lavernes and quickly found their niche. In a town ruled predominantly
by jam bands and cover bands, The Lavernes were able to find success by
offering a fresh sound in the form of tight songwriting and energetic
performances. They gained a
They quickly began performing around town and were well received.
After recording a 4 song EP titled Street Preacher at the end of 2006,
By?r Lady took their show on the road, playing to old and new fans
alike.
